The Quartz Slurper Cap is the same pure quartz top that comes in every MiniNail Terp Slurper Set, now sold on its own. Pure quartz, nothing else in it, so it adds no flavor of its own at temperature.

It is the part that makes a slurper work. It is also the part that gets chipped, misplaced, or knocked off the mat.

🔎 The Cap Is What Makes It Pull

With the top open, air takes the easy route and comes straight down the tube. Nothing happens.

Cap it and that route closes. The only way in is a set of small slits down where the dish meets the quartz tube, and that inrush is what pulls your concentrate through and spins whatever is sitting in the tube.

No cap, no restriction. No restriction, no spin. A slurper without its top is just a tall banger.

⚙️ Three Parts, One Piece of Quartz

The cap is cut as a single piece with three jobs going on.

• A post on the underside drops into the top opening of the slurper and locates the cap
• A wide flange across the middle sits down on the chamfered rim and makes the seal
• A tapered knob gives you something to hold, and doubles as a pillar stop when you run the cap inverted

That knob is the practical difference between this and a marble. A marble has to be lifted with a grabber and rolls the moment it touches a flat surface. This one you pick up with your fingers and set down, and it stays where you put it.

🔄 It Runs Both Ways Up

Turn the cap over and it does a second job.

The sealing flange sits across the middle of the piece, so it lands on the chamfered rim either way up. Inverted, the tall knob drops down inside the slurper tube and the post points up instead.

That knob in the tube gives your pillar a ceiling. If it rides up too high on a hard pull, flip the cap and the pillar stays down in the tube where it is working. Same cap, same seal, two ways to run it.

🧠 Pro Tips

• Pillar not spinning? Check the cap before you check anything else. A cap sitting slightly proud of the chamfer leaks enough air to kill the pull.
• Pillar riding up too high? Flip the cap. The knob in the tube gives it a ceiling.
• Wipe the underside of the flange, not just the top face. That rim is the sealing surface, and residue on it is the usual reason a good cap stops working.
• Quartz chips quartz. Set the cap down on a silicone mat rather than on the rig or a countertop.
