What Is a Quartz Banger?

A quartz banger is the bucket your concentrate goes into. It seats in your rig's joint, gets brought up to temperature, and vaporizes the dab off its heated surface.

Quartz is the industry standard for one reason: it is inert. It holds heat evenly, survives repeated heating cycles without cracking, and adds nothing of its own to the flavor. What you taste is the concentrate.

MiniNail bangers are built for enail coils rather than torches, with a straight hook for the coil and a flat chamfered top that seals under any carb cap.

Pick Your Size

Two measurements matter, and they are different things.

Bucket size

How wide the bucket is, and which heater coil it needs:

• 20mm - smallest bucket, runs on a 20mm Barrel Heater Coil
• 25mm - the standard, runs on a 25mm Hybrid Heater Coil. Most people want this one.
• 30mm XL - more surface for bigger dabs, needs a 30mm XL Hybrid Heater Coil

The bucket and the coil have to match. A 30mm banger will not heat properly on a 25mm coil.

Joint size and angle

How it connects to your rig:

• 14mm male - the most common rig joint
• 10mm male - for smaller rigs
• 10mm male, 45° bend - angled to sit upright on a bent-neck rig

All standard bangers are 3mm walls on a 5mm base. Thick enough to hold heat through a full dab, thin enough to come up to temperature without waiting around.

Caps

A carb cap restricts airflow over the bucket so the dab vaporizes at a lower temperature instead of evaporating off into the room. It is the cheapest upgrade to flavor there is.

• Glass Bubble Cap - directional airflow, spins terp pearls, for 25mm buckets
• XL Glass Bubble Cap - the same for 30mm XL buckets
• Bubble Cap + Glass Shovel Dabber Combo - cap and tool together

Match the cap to the bucket. A 25mm cap will not seal a 30mm banger.

Terp Pearls

Pearls spin under a directional cap and push concentrate around the bucket instead of letting it sit in one spot. More surface contact, less waste, better flavor at lower temperatures.

• Quartz - cleanest flavor: 6mm and 4mm
• Ruby - denser heat retention: 6mm and 4mm
• Silicon carbide and titanium (4mm) - the longest heat retention
• Lab-grown sapphire (6mm) in golden, blue, green, pink and white

Holding the Coil On

Two ways to keep the heater coil seated against the bucket:

• Magnetic Tie - snaps closed, works on any banger
• Silicone Band - simple and cheap, fits all models

Running a Banger on an Enail

1. Slide the heater coil over the bucket and secure it with a band or tie
2. Seat the banger in your rig's joint
3. Set your temperature on the controller and let it stabilize
4. Drop your dab in and cap it
5. Spin your pearls and pull
