MiniNail Titanium Nail Instructions & Assembly

The Titanium Universal Nail is Grade 2 titanium from the body to the dish top, so it assembles the same way as the quartz hybrid but handles differently once it is together. Three steps.

How to assemble your Titanium Nail

  1. Pick your adapter and attach it to the heat shield. Both adapters ship in the box, male and female, each covering 14mm to 18mm. That is four fitments on one nail. Running a 10mm rig? You need the 10mm Hybrid Nail Adapter, sold separately.
  2. Fit your coil. The titanium nail runs the 25mm Hybrid Heater Coil, which needs no adapter. If you are using a barrel coil, place the matching 16mm or 20mm barrel coil adapter inside the coil first. Barrel coil adapters are sold separately.
  3. Attach the dish with the titanium screw. Fit the Titanium Deep Dish using the screw and heat spacer. Unlike a quartz dish, titanium will not crack, so tighten it properly snug. A loose screw is what stops heat moving from the body into the dish.

Running it

  • Recommended range is 500 to 600°F. Titanium comes up to temperature quickly, so give it a moment to settle rather than dabbing the second the display reads your set point.
  • Swab the dish while it is still warm. Warm residue wipes out. Cold residue has to be scraped.
  • Re-check the screw every few sessions. Heat cycling works hardware loose over time.
  • Swap dishes cold. Titanium hardware and hot titanium hardware are two different jobs.

Change the dish, keep the nail

Every MiniNail hybrid nail is built on the same body. The same nail runs a Titanium Deep Dish, a Quartz Deep Dish or a Silicon Carbide Deep Dish. Buy the body once and change the material whenever you want.

Match the dish to your coil. Titanium is made in 25mm only, which runs the standard Hybrid Heater Coil. The 30mm dishes need the XL Hybrid Heater Coil instead.
