The Silicon Carbide Universal Nail pairs a Grade 2 titanium body with a silicon carbide deep dish. Every part comes apart, so a worn piece gets replaced instead of the whole nail.
Silicon carbide is dense and hard. It takes heat off the coil and holds onto it through the dab, and it stands up to daily use and cleaning.
🧽 It Wipes Clean
Silicon carbide is smooth at a microscopic level, so residue sits on the surface instead of working its way into it. A swab takes it back to clean rather than scrubbing it back.
It behaves the way a nonstick pan does, with one difference that matters on something you heat every day: there is no coating. The smoothness is the material itself, so there is nothing to wear off or scratch through.
🔧 Universal Means Four Fitments
Both adapters are in the box, male and female, each covering 14mm to 18mm. That is four fitments on one nail, so it seats on almost any standard rig without a separate purchase.
Running a 10mm rig? Add the 10mm Hybrid Nail Adapter, sold separately.
🔩 Everything Is Replaceable
The dish top, the screw, the heat spacer and both adapters are individual parts. Chip a dish and you replace the dish. The titanium body underneath carries on.
The body also takes any MiniNail dish top, so the same nail runs a Silicon Carbide Deep Dish, a Quartz Deep Dish or a Titanium Deep Dish. Change the material without changing the nail.

🧠 Pro Tips
- Recommended range: 400 to 600°F. Start at 500°F, then go up or down 25°F at a time until you find your sweet spot. Give the nail a few minutes to come up before the first dab of the session.
- Swab the dish while it is still warm. Easy on this surface either way, quicker while the heat is still in it.
- Check the titanium screw every so often. Heat cycling loosens hardware over time, and a snug screw is what keeps heat moving from the body into the dish.
- Keep the adapter you are not using with the nail rather than loose in a drawer. It is the part people cannot find on the day they change rigs.
- Check your rig’s joint before ordering. 14mm and 18mm are covered in the box, 10mm needs the separate adapter.

First off, it cleans easier. I did not expect it to have an easier to clean surface. Carbon doesn’t seem to build up on the surface either.
Second, terpenes come through more distinctly. I kind of think this comes back to the surface being easy to clean, but being that the surface doesn’t build up gunk it has a better flavor.
Third, I actually had to turn my heat down. It seems to transmit the heat more effectively because you can taste a “hotter” flavor per dab. I dropped my temp about 15° or so. Logically that means the heating device will last longer (less strain).
Initially I only bought this to upgrade from the V1 style of nail (slightly different thread pitch/diameter on internal threading), but I’m really glad I decided to go for the Silicon Carbide. It costs a little more, but the performance differences definitely make the price worth it.
I was already happy with my mininail with quartz banger, but this thing really took things to the next level! The design is pretty great, it prevents those annoying scenarios where dabs just puddle up in the middle while your pearls just spin around the perimeter in vain. The heat transfer is also pretty great due to how the titanium pieces clamp the SiC dish onto the coil, as well as the properties of SiC itself. Keeping this thing clean is so much easier than quartz, and the taste is great (I personally don’t notice a difference really, after adjusting temps down a bit for a better match). The only downsides are A) you have to be more careful when dropping your dab in so that it doesn’t just go down the middle, B) you can’t see inside the dish at all like you can with quartz. Well worth it though – you might just want to get a longer/skinner dab tool to cleanly maneuver your dabs into the dish.
I’ve had my mini nail for about 18 months. I purchased the sic dish when I purchased my mini nail. My mini nail goes on in the morning and off at bed time. My sic dish is still in great condition. Best upgrade you can do. The purr cyclone cap was a huge upgrade as well. Happy dabbing.
The best thing is about it u get big clouds of smoke from it and clean smooth hits full of flavor and super easy to clean best upgrade to this nail best 2023 they came out w. The best quality product so worth it get it.
