MiniNail Quartz Hybrid Nail Instructions & Assembly
The MiniNail Quartz Hybrid Nail assembles in three steps. Below are the written instructions plus the reference diagram. If you are setting up a full kit for the first time, start with the MiniNail Enail User Manual.
How to assemble your Quartz Hybrid Nail
- Pick your adapter and attach it to the heat shield. Choose the male or female Hybrid Nail Adapter that fits your rig. Male adapters cover 10mm, 14mm and 18mm joints; female adapters cover 14mm and 18mm. For a 10mm joint, use the 10mm Hybrid Nail Adapter.
- Fit your coil. A Hybrid Heater Coil needs no adapter, so skip straight to step 3. If you are running a barrel coil, place the matching 16mm or 20mm barrel coil adapter inside the coil, sitting on top of step 1. Barrel coil adapters are sold separately.
- Attach the dish with the screw. Fit your quartz or titanium dish to the assembly using the screw. Tighten it loosely only. Overtightening is the most common cause of a cracked quartz dish.
Fully assembled, the coil should sit snug against the bottom and sidewalls of the dish. That two-axis contact is what lets the hybrid design hold temperature at lower settings.
