MiniNail Quartz Banger Instructions & Coil Sizing

Every MiniNail quartz banger is pure quartz with a 5mm base and 3mm walls, a flat top with a chamfered edge so bubble caps seat properly, and a straight quartz post on the neck. The post is what your heater coil seats against, and what the included Magnetic Tie anchors to. Generic quartz has no post, so the coil is free to shift.

Match your bucket to your coil

This is the one thing to get right. A coil built for one bucket size will not fit another.

Match your joint to your rig

The 25mm bucket comes on three different joints. Check your rig before you order.

10mm female joint at an angle, common on tube rigs: the 45° bend version. The bend cancels the angle so the bucket sits level and your concentrate stays in the dish instead of running toward one wall.

Setting it up

Seat the banger on your rig. Match the joint size, and let the bucket sit level.
Fit the coil against the quartz post. The post on the neck is the locating point. Seat the coil against it.
Anchor with the Magnetic Tie. It comes in the box and clips to the post, holding the coil where you put it.
Set your temperature and wait. Recommended range is 500 to 600°F. Give the quartz about three minutes to come up before the first dab of the session.

Caps and pearls

A 30mm bucket takes the XL versions of the caps. The standard caps are sized for 20mm and 25mm.

Glass Bubble Cap, turn it to steer the air across the dish. The XL Glass Bubble Cap covers a 30mm dish.
Glass Cyclone Carb Cap, two ports that spin the air into a vortex
Flat Tip Dabber and Carb Cap, dabber and cap in one tool. The XL version suits a 30mm bucket.
Terp pearls: 4mm suits a 20mm bucket, 6mm suits 25mm. A 30mm dish has the most surface to cover, so pearls earn their keep there.

Care

Swab the dish while it is still warm. Residue lifts out easily then and takes real work once it cools.
Give it the full warm-up. A wider dish spreads heat over more quartz, so a 30mm needs the time more than a 20mm does.
