MiniNail Flower Bowl Instructions - Titanium & Glass

The MiniNail Flower Bowl is the injector-style bowl that holds your ground flower on the Flower Wand. Injector-style means the wand's engine seats down inside the bowl, so heated air passes through your flower rather than around it. There are two bowls, and they are not interchangeable in fitment.

Titanium or glass?

  • Titanium Flower Bowl is the universal one. Both adapters are in the box, so it fits 14mm and 18mm, male and female, four fitments in total. Grade 2 titanium, so it survives being dropped. It moves the most air of any MiniNail bowl and holds up to about half a gram of ground flower. It has no built-in carb.
  • Glass Flower Bowl with Pass-Through Carb is 14mm only. Borosilicate, so you can watch your herb change colour as it vaporizes. Its advantage is the built-in 14mm glass carb plug, which lets you clear your rig without lifting the wand off the bowl. The v2 has a larger air pathway and a 7-hole glass screen.

Loading and running the bowl

  1. Fit the bowl to your rig. Titanium: pick the male or female adapter for your 14mm or 18mm joint. Glass: it is 14mm male, into a 14mm female joint.
  2. Grind your flower. Do not pack it whole. Even airflow through the screen is what makes convection work, and whole bud channels the air around itself.
  3. Load the bowl. The titanium bowl holds up to about half a gram. Use the poker/packer tool that ships with the Flower Wand.
  4. Seat the wand engine inside the bowl. It sits down in the chamber, not on top of it.
  5. Draw slowly. Convection needs time for the heated air to move through the material.
  6. Clear the rig. On the glass bowl, pull the carb plug. On titanium, either lift the wand or fit the Pass-Through Adapter. The glass bowl can also be run without the plug and feathered by hand for faster carb action.

Cleaning

  • Wipe the bowl out after each use to keep the screen holes clear. Do it while it is still warm and residue lifts instead of scraping.
  • Soak in isopropyl alcohol for a deep clean when resin builds up.
  • The titanium bowl's screen is removable, which makes a full clean straightforward.
