What Is a Terp Slurper?

A terp slurper is a quartz banger built around airflow instead of a flat floor.

A standard banger is a bucket: your dab sits on the bottom and vaporizes off that one surface. A slurper has a bottom dish and vertical intake slots, so when you pull, the concentrate gets drawn up through multiple heated surfaces on its way to you.

The result is more complete vaporization from less material, and noticeably more terpene expression. Slurpers are especially popular for low-temperature dabs and high-terpene concentrates like rosin.

What Comes in a Set

Every MiniNail terp slurper set includes three pieces:

Choosing Your Set

Two decisions, and both are about your rig rather than performance.

Joint size

• 14mm male – the most common rig joint
• 10mm male – for smaller rigs

Standard or tall

• Standard (57mm) – lower profile, sits closer to the rig
• Tall (79mm) – more air travel before the vapor reaches you, which cools it further

Pillars

The pillar sits in the bottom dish and spins under airflow, pushing concentrate around the heated surfaces instead of letting it pool in one spot. Swapping it changes how the slurper behaves more than anything else you can do.

Quartz

• Quartz Spiral Pillar – spiral texture drives circulation
• Solid Quartz Pillar – smooth airflow and the easiest to clean
• Surface Enhanced Quartz Pillar – square side etching for more surface area
• Quartz Baseball Bat Pillar – bat profile, more mass toward the top

Ruby

• Ruby Pillar – pure ruby, the strongest heat retention in the range
• Ruby Barbell Pillar – pure ruby in a barbell shape

Quartz stays the most flavor-neutral. Ruby holds heat harder, which keeps temperature steadier through a long draw. Slurpers also accept terp pearls and marbles alongside a pillar.

Heating a Slurper

A slurper needs heat across more surface than a banger does, which is why most people run them in a dock rather than a wrap-around coil.

Slurper or Banger?

• Slurper – more flavor from less concentrate, more surface contact, more parts to clean
• Banger – simpler, faster to load and wipe, and the standard most people start with

Neither is an upgrade on the other. A slurper rewards low temperatures and good material; a banger is quicker for everyday use.
