Two things ruin a good setup faster than anything else: knocking your rig over, and letting your quartz get dirty. This is where you solve both.

Dab Mats

A mat gives your rig a non-slip base, catches the reclaim and stray dabs that would otherwise glue themselves to your table, and gives you somewhere to set down a hot banger without leaving a mark.

How to Keep Quartz Clean

Dirty quartz is the single most common reason a setup stops tasting good. Residue from the last dab carbonizes on the next one, and you taste that before you taste anything else.

The fix takes ten seconds and happens while the banger is still warm.

After every dab

While the quartz is still hot but no longer glowing, swab out the residue with a cotton swab. Warm residue wipes away. Cold residue has to be scrubbed or soaked.

Our swabs are dual-ended on wooden stems: the small end reaches the neck and screw area of a banger or hybrid nail, the large end clears the dish.

Every few sessions

Wipe down the outside of the banger, the joint and your dab tool with an iso wipe. Ours are 70% isopropyl prep pads, gamma-sterilized and latex-free, 200 to a pack.

When it needs a real clean

Soak the quartz in isopropyl alcohol until the residue lifts, then rinse thoroughly with water and let it dry completely before heating it again.

Why it matters beyond flavor: baked-on residue is what causes chazzing, the cloudy white devitrification that permanently ruins a banger. Clean quartz stays clear, and clear quartz lasts.
