What Is a Coil Caddy?

Most enail setups keep a coil wrapped around your quartz the whole time you are using it. The Coil Caddy is a heating dock instead. You drop your quartz into it, bring it up to temperature, then lift the accessory out and place it on your rig.

Nothing is attached to your glass while you dab. No coil hanging off the side, no cable pulling at the joint, and no torch.

The dock itself stays connected to your MiniNail controller, so you keep the same digital temperature control you would get from any enail. What changes is that the heat lives in the dock rather than on your rig.

Standard or XL?

Get this right before anything else. The two sizes take different coils and they are not interchangeable.

• Standard – holds quartz up to 30mm, runs the 30.2mm Coil Caddy Heater Coil
• XL – holds quartz up to 40mm, runs the 40mm XL Coil Caddy Heater Coil

Both are 60mm deep and both run on any MiniNail controller. Measure the widest point of your banger or slurper, not the joint.

Running a 25mm banger? The Coil Caddy Adapter reduces the standard dock’s interior to 25mm for a tighter fit.

Which Setup Do You Need?

Every option below heats the same way. The difference is how much you already own.

You have nothing yet

• Coil Caddy w/ Heater Coil and Controller – the standard 30.2mm dock, its coil and a controller. The straightforward starting point.
• XL Coil Caddy w/ XL Heater Coil and Controller – the same in 40mm, for oversized quartz.

You want it built around something specific

What You Can Heat In It

Anything quartz that fits the cup:

• Terp slurpers – the most common pairing. A slurper needs heat across more surface than a banger does, and the 60mm depth delivers it.
• Quartz bangers – up to 30mm in the standard dock, up to 40mm in the XL.
• Quartz towers and blenders – the taller and wider pieces that no standard coil will take.
• Wireless Flower Wand – turns the same dock into a flower setup.

Running Flower on It

The Wireless Flower Wand heats in the dock the same way your quartz does. Bring it up to temperature, lift it out, seat it over your flower bowl and pull. Convection heat, no combustion, nothing touching the flower but hot air.

Since the 2026 remodel the wand’s 30mm collar seats directly in the standard dock with no adapter. It also runs in the XL, though the fit is looser, so the standard size is the better pairing if flower is your main use.

Why a Dock Instead of a Coil

• Nothing attached to your glass. Your rig stays free while you dab.
• One dock, many pieces. Slurpers, bangers, towers and the flower wand all heat in the same cup.
• Even heat from the sides and bottom. An enclosed cup surrounds the piece instead of gripping one band of it.
• No torch, no butane taste. Nothing to refill and no fuel flavor in the first pull.
• Same temperature every session. Digital control at 500 to 600°F, ready in about three minutes.
